Welcome to my little corner of the internet where you can find smut that's smart and spicy! I'm just a romance author living my best introverted life, crafting happily-ever-afters from the comfort of my pajamas. This privacy policy explains how I handle your information when you visit my website—spoiler alert: I'm basically a digital hermit who guards your privacy like a dragon guards treasure.
Email Addresses (Via MailerLite Form) When you sign up for my mailing list, I collect your email address so I can shower you with updates about new releases, cover reveals, and the occasional rambling. This is stored securely through MailerLite, and I promise I'm not selling your email to anyone—I can barely handle talking to my mailman, let alone shady marketers.
ARC Reader Information (Via Google Forms) If you fill out my ARC (Advance Reader Copy) form, I'll collect whatever information you provide (typically email, reading preferences, and social media handles). This helps me send you early copies of my books and coordinate reviews. Your info stays with me and goes nowhere else—scout's honor (and I was totally a scout... until they kicked me out for giving impromptu sex-ed to the other twelve-year-olds).
Website Analytics Like most websites, this one collects some basic analytics data through Google Sites (things like how many people visit, which pages are popular, general location data). Think of it as me quietly peeking through the curtains to see if anyone's actually reading my books—but in a completely non-creepy, anonymized way.
Mailing List Magic: Your email gets you exclusive updates, release announcements, and the occasional existential crisis about plot holes
ARC Coordination: If you're an ARC reader, I use your info to send you books and coordinate reviews
Website Improvement: Analytics help me figure out what content you actually want to see (spoiler: it's usually the book covers)
Short Answer: No
Long Answer: I really want you to like me, and I also like my own integrity. Your information stays with me and the platforms I use (MailerLite for emails, Google for forms and analytics). I don't sell, trade, rent, or even whisper your information to anyone else. The only exception would be if legally required (like if the FBI shows up asking about your taste in book boyfriends, which seems unlikely but hey, strange times).
I use a few services to keep this operation running smoothly:
MailerLite: Handles my email newsletter (they have their own privacy policy)
Google Sites: Hosts this website (Google's privacy policy applies)
Google Forms: Manages my ARC reader applications
Amazon: I link to my books there, but I don't control what they do with your data once you click over
BookFunnel: They deliver your ARCs, freebies, and direct purchases, thank goodness
Each of these services has their own privacy policies, which I encourage you to read if you're into that sort of thing (they're significantly less entertaining than mine).
You have options, darling:
Unsubscribe: Every email I send has an unsubscribe link. Use it if you need to—no hard feelings! (Okay, maybe tiny feelings, but I'll get over it)
Data Deletion: Want me to delete your information? Just email me and ask nicely. I'll make it disappear faster than my motivation to market
Questions: Got concerns? Reach out! I promise to respond as soon as my alter-ego is done putting the kids to bed.
This website might use cookies—the digital kind, not the chocolate chip kind (unfortunately). These are small files that help the website function and remember your preferences. Most browsers let you control cookie settings if you're feeling particular about it.
I take your privacy seriously, even if my tone suggests otherwise. Your information is stored securely through reputable platforms with proper security measures. That said, the internet is the internet, and while I do my best, I can't guarantee absolute security (nobody can, despite what they might claim).
If I update this privacy policy, I'll post the changes here and update the date at the top. Major changes might get a mention in my newsletter, along with things you'll actually want to read.
Questions? Concerns? Want to chat about book boyfriends? (Okay, maybe not that last one—remember, introvert.) You can reach me at cordelia@cordeliakent.com.
Remember, I'm just one person trying to become a smut mogul without accidentally breaking anything important. I respect your privacy because I value my own, and I promise to treat your information with as much care as the internet overlords can promise.Â
P.S. If you made it through this entire privacy policy, you deserve a cookie. The chocolate chip kind.
